Zhaparov: Kyrgyzstan will not deviate from democratic path

This is the demand of our freedom-loving people,” President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov stressed in his video message at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on Sept. 21. The Kyrgyz leader reminded that an anniversary of October events will be marked soon, which began a new stage in its modern history. "In one year we managed to restore socio-political and socio-economic stability, to earn the trust and confidence of the society. The results of the past presidential elections and the constitutional referendum were also recognized by the international community, including observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. The next national parliamentary elections, scheduled for Nov. 28, lie ahead. I invite United Nations member states and international organizations to send observers. We will provide all the conditions for their full and safe operation. We expect that by the time of the elections the epidemiological situation in the country will be completely normalized," said the Kyrgyz president.
