It may be joint production or other options,” said Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov as he commented on the issue of legal status of the Caspian Sea. “Presently the main point is delimitation. Azerbaijan has bilateral and trilateral documents with Kazakhstan and Russia on the delimitation of the Caspian seabed. The main principles of these documents have been featured in the convention.” “We should resume negotiations with Iran and Turkmenistan in order to reach agreements and should prepare our own bilateral documents,“ added Khalafov.
