“Discover Azerbaijan” event held in Vietnam

Hanoi, October 21, AzerTAc The “Discover Azerbaijan” event marking the Day of Independence of Azerbaijan has been held in Vietnam. Organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy, the event brought together employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, representatives of leading youth organizations, students of various universities and journalists. Ambassador Anar Imanov provided an insight into the history of Azerbaijan, as well as its development, the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in strengthening the country`s independence, the cause and consequences of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Black January events and Khojaly massacre. He also highlighted the country`s culture, energy projects, policy carried out by President Ilham Aliyev, history and current state of Azerbaijani-Vietnamese relations. The event saw presentation of a documentary on Azerbaijan and its historical territories. The event featured the contest on Azerbaijan involving 11 teams. The teams called Nakhchivan, Guba and Garabakh became the winners of the contest. The event was broadcast on the Vietnamese media.
