“Mongolia wants to augment quotas for Mongolian students in UK”

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister J.Erdenebat met Tuesday Ms Catherine Arnold, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UK to Mongolia, in the State House. The Premier emphasized that Mongolia attaches its ties with the UK which is the first country to establish the diplomatic relations with Mongolia among western nations. He said that Mongolia is thankful to British companies for doing business in the Mongolian mining and energy industries, and pointed out that the Mongolian government will focus attention to boosting foreign trade, attracting investments and making the investment environment more favorable. Expressing thanks to the British government for training Mongolian students with the Chevening Scholarships and then asked the UK side to learn a chance for augmenting the quotas for Mongolian students. In addition, the Premier said Mongolia wants to cooperate with the GREAT Britain campaign at the UK Prime Ministerial Office in promoting Mongolia. Underlining significance of high-level mutual visits for strengthening the bilateral relations, the Premier pointed out Prince Harry of Wales has been invited to visit Mongolia.
