11 Foreign Nationals Sentenced To Two Years In Jail

Qeshm Island, May 20, IRNA – Eleven foreign nationals were sentenced to two years in prison for smuggling fuel in the waters of the southern Iranian island of Qeshm. Head of Qeshm Administration of Justice, Mohsen Delavari, told IRNA Monday that the convicts were smuggling over 213,000 liters of fuel. He added that they should also pay 11,000 billion rials in fine. Delavari noted that the foreign ferry crossing the Qeshm waters was confiscated by Iran./end
