230 MPs Hail President Rohani's Stance In NY

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA – Some 230 members of the Iranian parliament (Majlis), in a statement on Tuesday, hailed President Hassan Rohani for making firm and smart stands in his speech at the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Iranian MPs appreciated President Rohani for “portraying Iran as a powerful and peace-loving country which favors negotiation and interaction as a means to solve regional and international problems.” They also expressed hope that tensions and distrust would come to an end and useful solutions would be found for regional and international issues relying on Iran’s powerful and influential role both in the region and throughout the globe. In his address to the UN General Assembly on September 25, President Rohani said, Iran is looking for solution to problems and not creating problems./end
