3rd Tranche Of Iran’s $2.8-bn Assets To Be Released Wednesday

Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA – According to the extended nuclear deal between Iran and G5+1, the 3rd tranche of Iranˈs $2.8-bn assets is scheduled to be released on Wednesday. Iran’s Central Bank has announced that it has received the first two installments of its blocked assets, which are being returned to Tehran under a four-month extension of nuclear negotiations with world powers. The Central Bank has declared that the two tranches, amounting to $1 billion combined, have been transferred from its account in Japan to another account in Oman. Tehran and the sextet of world powers (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 18 agreed to a four-month extension of negotiations on a long-term nuclear deal, which was expected to be struck by a July 20 deadline. Iran is expected to receive the sum of $2.8 billion in four more installments, set to be paid on September 17, October 10, November 3, and November 23./end
