5th Cyprus trilateral meeting to begin Monday

NEW YORK (A.A) - January 23, 2012 - The 5th Cyprus trilateral meeting will begin at Greentree in New York with participation of Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu, Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Eroglu and Christofias will gather for the fifth trilateral meeting at Greentree, Long Island, under UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's supervision on Monday and Tuesday in their prolonged talks to end the decades-long division of the Eastern Mediterranean island.       UN Secretary General's special advisor on Cyprus Alexander Downer is expected to hold a press conference at the end of the first day of the meeting. On Wednesday, Ban is expected to hold a press conference about the meeting at UN HQ.
