9th Round Malaysia-EU PCA Talks In Brussels

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), March 24 (Bernama) -- The ninth round of the two-day Malaysia-EU Partnership Cooperation Agreement (PCA) negotiations will begin Wednesday, in Brussels, Belgium, says the Malaysian Foreign Ministry. In a statement Tuesday, it said the Malaysian delegation would include representatives from the ministry, as well as several other ministries. Malaysia hosted the eighth round of negotiations in Putrajaya in December last year. The PCA is a legal and political document to provide an overarching strategic political framework for EU-Malaysia cooperation. Once concluded, the PCA will provide opportunities to expand engagement in many new areas of mutual interest such as trade cooperation, energy, science and technology, counter-terrorism, anti-corruption and human trafficking. -- BERNAMA
