About 10,000 reservists to take part in large-scale exercises in Azerbaijan

Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 16 By Ilkin Izzet – Trend: About 10,000 reservists will participate in the large-scale operational and tactical exercises in Azerbaijan. Under a plan, approved by Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan will host on Sept. 13-20 extensive operational and tactical command and staff exercises of all types of armed forces with the participation of the Turkish armed forces’ units, the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend Sept. 15. The ministry noted that the exercises will be carried out to check the level of executing tasks on mobilization of the armed forces’ formations and units. Practical exercises on using various types of weapons, moral and psychological training and coordination in combat, and combat shooting are also being carried out in accordance with the plan.
