ABOUT PREPARATION FOR CD MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ For the time being, some 80 representatives of states and of civil society and one thousand business delegates will arrive here to take part in the 7th Minisiterial conference of Community of democracies (CoD) this April 27-29 in the UB city. These figures and other information were given Thursday by D.Ganbold, S.Badral and others who are working on a preparation for this meeting. Mongolia, the chair-country of the CoD since 2011, must pass these duties after having presided over the CoD for two years to another country, to report on its activities and to run a Ministerial conference. The meeting Mongolia is to run is dedicated to issues of Mongolia's becoming a model for the democratic states. Apart of this, Mongolia will report on its works and will have the conference considered its reforms made in the CoD. Before this great gathering, several forums will run involving the parts of the CoD such as civil society, women, youth, parliaments' members, and businesses. The results of the conference will be introduced to the Ministers and be reflected in the related documents, moreover, an "Ulaanbaatar Declaration" will be issued and certified and passed to the next chair of the CoD El Salvador. For the time being, out of invited 150 member-states of the CoD will arrive 80, for example, the leader of Nigeria, the PM of Thailand, some 20 FMs. An immence help in the preparation are giving the President, the parliament and goverment offices and the city's administration. So far, Mongolia has turned the CoD into the organization with permanent activity, has created its decision-making Governing council with 25 members, has formed an Executive committee with eight states, has appointed first time its Secretary-general, has expanded its works in the UN frames and has had the UN run the CoD-related meeting two times a year.
