Acceptance Of Iran’s N-right, Diplomatic Success: Pakistan MP

Islamabad, March 3, IRNA -- A Pakistani Member of Parliament (MP) on Saturday said that acceptance of Iran’s nuclear right by western powers in talks is the diplomatic victory of the Islamic Republic. Talking to IRNA, Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that dialogue process between Iran and 5+1 group must continue to solve issues. The eighth round of Iran-5+1 Group talks was held in Kazakhstanˈs capital city, Almaty, on February 26th and 27th. Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi has underlined that Iranˈs nuclear issue will be solved, saying that both sides have got the feeling that there is a way out of the problem. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao expressing his views said that Iran is a peace loving country and has started dialogue with western states honestly. “Their nuclear program is clear and they have nothing to hide,” said former interior minister. He said that West has understood that Iran cannot be pressurized over its right to peaceful nuclear technology. He went on to say that some western countries have been doing negative propaganda against the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program but they have failed to accomplish their designs against the Islamic Republic. “These western states have tried to portray dark image of Iran but in vain,” said the lawmaker. The politician agreed with the statement of Iran’s foreign minister that Iranˈs case will not be the same as those of North Korea or Libya. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that sanctions have failed to deter Iran’s progress in all sector. He hailed the decision of Pakistan to go ahead with the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, adding that the Iranian gas is the only solution to end Pakistan’s energy woes. “We need to have strong relations with our neighbors,” said the lawmaker. The parliamentarian went on to say ˈWe have to enhance our relations with Iran on diplomatic, commercial and economic levels as it would be in the interest of Pakistan.ˈ/end
