ADA University to launch Baku Dialogues project

Baku, June 9 (AzerTAc). ADA University will launch a new project, Baku Dialogues, on June 11. Baku Dialogues is a series of events featuring leading world personalities who will address subjects of current international interest by presenting their views and participating in discussion of these subjects with interested Azerbaijani and international figures. These presentations and discussions will be recorded in the forthcoming "Baku Dialogues" quarterly, ADA University’s new journal of record for academic research conducted under the auspices of the university. The Baku Dialogues will be an overall concept covering a range of discussion events to be developed over time. The concept is to arrange for presentations on key world issues by leading world personalities, followed by direct “Davos-style” open discussions among relevant academics and other actors, on central world issues, for the purpose of academic examination and research on these issues. These events will cover current issues in the fields of international and inter-cultural affairs, security, economic, energy, environmental and other principal world challenges. The first meeting under the project will take place with Wang Jisi, Professor and the Dean of the School of International Studies at Beijing University. In 2012, he was named one of the Top 100 Global Thinkers and “China’s most respected expert on the United States” by Foreign Policy magazine.
