Additional developments applied to Chingis Khaan int'l airport

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As a result of the extension and re-decoration done to Chingis Khaan International Airport, it has improved its 800 passengers receiving capacity up to 1,200 passengers, informed the authorities during the Prime Minister’s visit to the airport on November 18. After getting au fait with the developments, the PM congratulated the leaders of Ministry of Road and Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority, Chingis Khaan Airport and MIAT. The Premier Ch.Saikhanbileg highly spoke of the improvement of the passenger gates that now has eight lines and an electronic gate. Developments of 1.9 billion MNT have been funded entirely by the internal capacity of the airport, not spending a dime from the State Budget. Ulaanbaatar will now become a transit spot for travellers receiving them in the new transit hall. “We need to advertize our new capability by opening new ways--from Russian Omsk, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Chita and Irkutsk to Southeast Asia”, said the PM.
