Afghan Official Hails Iran Support For Afghan Peace Talks

Kabul, May 13, IRNA – Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Janan Mosazai on Sunday hailed Iranˈs support for peace talks in Afghanistan. In his weekly press briefing, Mosazai said that Iran has always supported Afghan government. He said that an Afghan justice officials are scheduled to visit Tehran next week to hold talks with Iranian officials on fate of Afghan nationals serving prison terms in Iran. Elsewhere in his remarks, he condemned Saturday terrorist bombings in Turkey and sympathized with families of the victims. Meanwhile, he congratulated the people and government of Pakistan on successful elections held in Pakistan and expressed hope that the next Pakistani government would seriously and honestly take part in international campaign against terrorism./end
