Afghan party hails Ayat. Khamenei’s role in Islamic Awakening

TEHRAN, Apr. 28 (MNA) – Secretary General of Afghanistan National Welfare Party has said the party follows Imam Khomeini’s Movement and Islamic Revolution. Secretary General of Afghanistan National Welfare Party Mohammad Hassan Jafari said the party follows Imam Khomeini’s Movement and Islamic Revolution, adding that Islamic awakening is the result of Ayatollah Khamenei’s leadership and guidelines. Jafari made the remarks in a meeting with Hamidreza Taraghi, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of Iran's Islamic Motalefeh Party. Hailing Iran's Islamic Motalefeh as a party experiencing a half century of struggle and political activity, Jafari called for development of relations between the two parties on political and regional issues. While describing political status in Afghanistan, Jafari expressed concern over the growth of extremist and terrorist groups in Afghanistan. He praised Ayatollah Khamenei’s role and position as the great Leader of the Muslim world, adding that Afghanistan National Welfare Party pays tribute to Iran’s efforts for harboring and supporting Afghan refugees. Hamidreza Taraghi, for his part, described Afghan and Iranian people as brothers and sisters. “Afghan refugees living in Iran have grown deep economic, political, cultural and religious ties with Iranian nation,” Taraghi added. Taraghi described unity among Islamic groups in the present situation in Afghanistan as the most important factor to deal with foreign conspiracy against the people of Afghanistan, adding that Afghan President's meeting with Iranian Leader Ayatollah Khamenei indicates deep ties between the two countries.
