Afkham: Iran Welcomes Syrian Accession To Convention Prohibiting Chemical Weapons

Tehran, Sept 16, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Sunday that Iran welcomes the Syrian accession to Convention Prohibiting Chemical Weapons. “It’s source of concern that the Zionist regime is not signatory to neither the Disarmament nor the CPWC.” She said that the Islamic Republic of Iran urges the United Nations Security Council and the International Community to take serious action to oblige the Zionist regime to sign up to both Disarmament and the CPWC./end
