In Age Of Logic, No Place For Embargos: MP

Tehran, Jan 31, IRNA – In this age of logic and intellect, any kind of threats, including sanctions has no place, Parliament lawmaker Hassan Malek-Mohammadi said here Monday. He made the remarks in an interview with IRNA. Referring to the US and European countries’ sanctions against the country's oil industry, the MP added that embargos will harm the sanctioners and they will retreat from their anti-Iranian decision in the near future. “Sanctions are effectless on Iranian nation's commitment to progress forward in various fields of sciences, including the peaceful nuclear science,” he noted. The official underlined that the Islamic Republic has for more than three decades been under sanctions and it has learned well how to change the challenges to opportunity. “The EU sanctions against Iran’s oil industry are against international rules and regulations; the sanctions can result in Tehran’s independence from oil revenues which is a big wish of nation and its leadership,” Malek Mohammadi underscored. He concluded that although some regional oil producers have supported the West's policy of sanctions but these regional countries will not be able to compensate Iran's oil in the long run./end
