Aged People of DPRK and China Meet

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- A meeting of aged people from the DPRK and China took place at the Central Youth Hall here on Wednesday.
Present there were officials of the Central Committee of the Korea Federation for the Care of the Aged, members of the Association of Culture and Arts of the Elderly of Korea and Chinese elderlies visiting the DPRK.
Speakers referred to the fact that the traditional friendly relations provided and developed by the preceding leaders of the two countries were put on a new high level under the deep care of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Xi Jinping, president of the People's Republic of China.
Saying that it is a noble duty of the elder generation to make the younger generation firmly carry on the baton of the DPRK-China friendship, they added that they would strive to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between the aged people of the two countries.
An art performance was given by aged people of the two countries at the meeting.
Watching the performance, the participants further deepened the feelings of friendship and fraternity. -0-
