AGREEMENT ON VISA-FREE TRAVEL BY CITIZENS OF MONGOLIA AND URUGUAY SIGNED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister B.Battsetseg and Deputy Foreign Minister of Uruguay Ariel Bergamino signed an agreement between Mongolia and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay on the exemption from visa requirements for diplomatic, formal and ordinary passport holders. The agreement enables all types of visa holders of the two countries to mutually travel without a visa up to 30 days. The agreement will come into effect through approval by the Governments of the two countries. Moreover the Deputy Ministers signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Foreign Affairs Ministries of Mongolia and Uruguay. The memorandum reflects the issue to hold a consultative meeting once in two years with aims to promote bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other spheres and to discuss regional and international matters that satisfy the sides’ interests.
