Ahmadinejad to attend Bali Democracy Forum in Indonesia

TEHRAN,Nov.5(MNA) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is scheduled to participate in the Bali Democracy Forum in Indonesia, which will be held on November 8 and 9, director of the international affairs section of the Presidential Office announced on Sunday. Mohammad Reza Forqani said that the Islamic Republic participated in the previous forums at ministerial level, but this year Iran, as an influential country, will participate at the highest level. Bali Democracy Forum was first held at the initiative of the Indonesian government in 2008 with the aim of developing democracy in the Asia-Pacific region. The objective of the forum is to promote regional and international cooperation in the development of peace and democracy through holding dialogue and sharing various experiences of the participating countries in this regard. President Ahmadinejad also plans to pay a visit to Iraq in the next month to meet with high-ranking officials of the country.
