Ahmadinejad congratulates Egyptian president on new constitution

TEHRAN,Dec.26(MNA) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad congratulated Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi on the approval of the new constitution during a telephone conversation on Tuesday, saying that Iran will make every effort to support the “brotherly” Egyptian nation. The new Egyptian constitution, which states that the nation must be governed by the principles of Islamic law, had been approved by 64 percent of voters after two rounds of voting that ended with a final ballot on Saturday.
