Ahmadinejad Deplores Javanfekr's Detention

Tehran, Sept 29, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday that while the world was expecting to listen to Iran's viewpoints from the UN General Assembly’s podium, detention of presidential advisor was deplorable. Upon his arrival from New York, he added that he will pursue the case seriously. He further noted that all the nations believe that Iran raises their demands in the UN, especially because it has undertaken Non-Aligned Movement's (NAM) presidency. Deploring the detention of Javanfekr, he added that the most regrettable is that he was arrested under the suspicion of insulting Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei./end
