Ahmadinejad: Peopleˈs Massive Turnout In Elections Will Change All Equations In Favor Of Nation

Tehran, April 9, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday that peopleˈs massive turnout in the upcoming presidential election will resolve problems and change all equations to the benefit of the Iranian nation. President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with his cabinet ministers, governors general, staff of the relative ministries and heads of government organizations. Election in Iran is not a political tools in the hands of politicians and men of powers, he said. As reiterated in the Constitution, the country should be administered based on peopleˈs will, he said. As mentioned by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, all persons with different political tendencies should have the opportunity to take part in the election and nation should be let make its own choice, he said. All should be vigilant and respect the nationˈs vote, he said. Lauding the efforts of the cabinet members, Ahmadinejad advised officials to continue rendering services to people up to the last minute in office. The enemies of the Iranian nation tried to bring people to their knees through economic sanctions and psychological warfare but to no avail, he said.
