Akhavan: No Guarantee Given By Iraq On Safety Of Iran Pilgrims In Samarra

Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA – Director General of the Holy Sites Department at the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Masood Akhavan said on Sunday that Iraq has not yet given any guarantee on safety of pilgrims in Samarra. Akhavan told IRNA that as long as Iraqi government has not given any positive response to guarantee safety of Iranian pilgrims in Samarra and the Department does not authorize Iranians to go to Samarra.
