Al Zahar: Hamas always supports Iran’s stands

Gaza, Jan 3, IRNA – Palestinian Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, has always both supported and praised Islamic Republic of Iran’s stands, a top Hamas officials, Mahmoud Al Zahar said here Thursday. “Relations between Hamas and Iran are not based on interest seeking, but on fundamentals of belief,” said Al Zahar in an interview with Palestinian news agency, Wafa. He said that ever since the establishment of Hamas its basic policy has been establishment of friendly ties with Arabic and Islamic countries that support the resistance movement on the one hand, and do not have friendly ties with the usurper Zionist regime on the other hand, and Iran is the top state in both regards. “Hamas has had political and cultural ties with Iran ever since its establishment and its leaders have visited Iran several times, either as heads of the Palestinian government, and as movement members,” he added.
