Ali Asgari appointed Tehran Times, Mehr News Agency director

TEHRAN,May 5(MNA) - Ali Asgari has been appointed as the managing director of the Tehran Times and Mehr News Agency, replacing Reza Moqaddasi who held the position for three-and-half years. Ali Asgari was a member of the Mehr News Agency and Tehran Times board of directors. Asgari, a general practitioner, has served in different posts including the head of Art and Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality, deputy director for cultural affairs at the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), advisor to the chief of Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council, and cultural advisor to the mayor of Tehran. He has written many books including ‘The Future of the Revolution’. Moqaddasi resigned the post due to health problems.
