All Countries Invited To Rohani's Oath-taking Ceremony, Except US-Zionist Regime

Tehran, July 23, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Araqchi said Tuesday that representatives of all countries except US and the Zionist regime are invited to the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Hassan Rohani slated for August 4. Araqchi said the Zionist regime is not invited to the ceremony as Tehran does not recognize the usurper entity. Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, the spokesman said since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, it is the first time that Iranian officials have decided to invite representatives of foreign countries to attend the oath-taking ceremony of an Iranian president. Araqchi said that the ceremony would be held at the Iranian Parliament (Majlis). He stressed that most of the countries have enthusiastically welcomed the invitation, adding that the final list of the foreign guests would be announced later. He said the present reports published by some media about the participating countries were just speculation./end
