Allameh Nablosi: Westˈs Crisis-making In Syria Aimed To Eclipse Palestine

Beirut, April 13, IRNA – Lebanonˈs Saida City Friday Prayers leader said US and Israel are decided to annihilate resistance axis; Syria crisis is aimed at eclipsing Palestine issue and drawing a new Middle East map in a way to please Israel. Allameh Afif Nablosi who performing his Friday prayer sermons for the worshipers at Lady Zahra (P) Mosque of Saida in south of Lebanon referred to the developments and internal clashes in some regional Arab countries. He further argued, ˈThe world powers and some regional accomplices of them are planning for both looting the wealth and natural resources and to disintegrate their countries by fomenting civil wars and internal disputes in some Arab countries of the region.ˈ Elsewhere in Lebanon, the Friday Prayers Imam of Imamain Hassanain (P) Mosque of Zahiyah District in the south of Beirut, Sayyed Ali Fazlallah in his sermons this Friday referred to the ongoing developments in Islamic and Arab world, and particularly in Egypt, arguing, ˈSome involved hands are plaguing Egypt with internal wars and unsolvable disputes, aimed at slipping the country back to the embrace of the Zionist regime.ˈ The Hassanain (P) Mosque preacher referring to the recent movements of Israel in the region, emphasizing, ˈAfter taking its last breaths in Lebanon and in Palestine, the Zionist regime is now once again intending to put on display a show of power and security.ˈ Fazlallah added, ˈYet, the Arab and Muslim nation, relying on their proper comprehension of the situation of the region and above that, their faith in Almighty Allah and weapons of the resistance movement, stand firmly against the threats of Zionist regime and the United States, not permitting them to loot the wealth and the natural resources of the region.ˈ The Friday Prayers Leader of Beirutˈs Imam Hussain (P) Mosque in the Lebanese capital cityˈs Borj ul-Barajeneh District, Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, too, in his sermons this week referred to the election of Tamam Salam as the new prime minister of Lebanon, expressing hope that the future Lebanese Government would manage to gain the satisfaction of the entire Lebanese political groups and parties. Qabalan added, ˈI hope Prime Minister Salamˈs Government would also manage to lead the country from the current insecure and unstable conditions into the safe shore of stability when the Lebanese Parliamentary Elections are scheduled to be held.ˈ He emphasized, ˈKeeping in mind the national interests of our country, I ask the entire Lebanese politicians to have strong wills, work had, be farsighted, and lead Lebanon out of the current crisis, thus paving the ground for holding the elections.ˈ Sheikh Qabalan meanwhile emphasized that holding dialogues would help solve internal disputes among the various political trends in Lebanon, adding, ˈSaying hello to dialogues and reaching compromises is the way to save us out of the ongoing political crisis that have plagued our lives and urged our state institutes to be shut down.ˈ The increasing sectarianism in Lebanon, fed by the Syrian crisis, is provoking a major problem over which legislative law to adopt before the coming elections in June. To a certain extent, it reshuffled the cards of the political alliances. Yet, there is a shared fear among the influential external actors, on both sides of the Syrian equation, about the devastating impact of a potential institutional paralysis and state power vacuum in Lebanon. It could drastically affect their interests in light of the chaos in Syria today and the Lebanese uncertainty of tomorrow, despite some internal resistance here and there to form a new government. This is to be followed by whatever possible agreement on a consensual legislative law to avoid such dangerous paralysis open to the unknown. Once more, Lebanon is at a crossroads. Will the key opposition forces at home bite the bullet and accept to co-manage a very difficult period of wait and see regarding Syria by avoiding that kind of vacuum and the unknown it embodies, creating a minimal understanding with their external allies — an understanding to avoid a political confrontation that could turn into uncontrolled violence and more destructive tension, with unknown results at home. Or, will they forget the costly lessons of the past, but this time at a much higher price due to the significantly dangerous environment? The coming weeks will tell which road will be taken.
