Amr Moussa praises UAE role in defence of legitimacy in Yemen

ABU DHABI, 12th October, 2015 (WAM) -- Dr. Amr Moussa, Former Secretary-General of the Arab League, has praised the great role played by the UAE in defence of the interests of Arab countries and to face up to foreign aggression, hailing the active and critical participation of the UAE in Operation Decisive Storm, which was led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in defence of the legitimacy in Yemen. Dr. Moussa said this on the sidelines of his participation in the Beirut Institute Summit, which kicked off yesterday in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Moussa said that there is a huge change in the region and any weaknesses in the Arab world might unfortunately tempt many countries to interfere in the region's affairs, hence the firm stand of Operation Decisive Storm, led by Saudi Arabia with participation from other Arab countries, which was initiated to put an end to this intervention. Dr. Moussa added that the message from Operation Decisive Storm was very clear regarding any interference in the affairs of the Arab world from international or regional powers, and that "this intervention and trying to dominate completely are rejected", calling the operation a warning message, pointing out that the region's stability should be based on cooperation between all Arab and non-Arab components. – Emirates News Agency, WAM -http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395286567943.html
