Anniversary Of Algeria’s Independence Commemorated In Tehran

Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA -- Embassy of Algeria in Tehran on Tuesday night commemorated the 60th anniversary of that country’s independence from the hegemony of colonialists in a ceremony. In addition to the ambassadors of foreign countries to Iran, such Iranian officials as the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi, a couple of parliament members, Head of the Mostazafan Foundation Ali Saeidikia and a deputy foreign minister were among the prominent guests in the ceremony. The 61st anniversary of Algeria’s independence from the French colonialism was held in the residence of the Algerian Ambassador in Tehran, simultaneously with similar celebrations in various capitals of the world on the occasion. Iran and Algeria, as two Islamic and revolutionary countries have ever since the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran established broad comprehensive relations and in recent years expanded them in the economic field./end
