Anniversary of State Price-setting Institution Marked

Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The State Price-setting Institution marks the 70th anniversary of its founding. President Kim Il Sung published the famous work "On Forming State Price-setting Department and Enforcing State Control on Price" on Nov. 25, Juche 35 (1946) and took a measure to form the state price-setting body for the first time in the DPRK. The President set forth an original idea on the unified price and established the unified price-setting system and thus provided firm cornerstone for the work. Leader Kim Jong Il comprehensively systematized and developed in depth the idea and theory of the Juche-oriented and popular price set forth by the President and wisely led the price-related work to bring about a new turn. Supreme leader Kim Jong Un gave perfect answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in developing the price-related work as required by the developing reality and concretely indicated the ways for correctly solving the price-setting issues arising in the overall economic operation and the people's life. Over the past seven decades, the institution has served as a powerful means for firmly ensuring the planned development of the national economy and the systematic improvement of the people's living standard and improving and strengthening the overall economic management and created a shining example in the socialist price-setting work.
