Anti-Revolution groups involved in Iran destabilization project: MP

Tehran, IRNA – An Iranian lawmaker said that Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has briefed members of parliament on the involvement of anti-Revolution groups in Iran's destabilization project. Abolfazl Amouei, the spokesman for the Parliament’s Islamic Revolution Faction, said that a senior intelligence ministry official briefed the lawmakers on the recent unrest in Iran and received their comments. According to the discussions made in this session, Amouei said, the recent developments both had social grounds and were affected by the enemies of the revolution in the framework of cognitive war to destabilize Iran. The lawmakers said that the reports presented in the session showed that the information elicited from the riot leaders arrested in the unrest suggested the engagement of various anti-Revolution groups in the unrest. The lawmakers, according to Amouei, urged a decisive crack-down on the elements affiliated with the belligerent groups who want to destabilize Iranian society. Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
