Any attack on Iran will be met with a crushing response: Iranian envoy

TEHRAN, March 11 (MNA) – The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon said that any aggression against the Islamic Republic will be met with a crushing response. Ambassador Ghazanfar Roknabadi made the remarks during a meeting with a number of Lebanese education officials on Friday in response to a question about the threats of military action against Iran that certain Israeli and U.S. officials have issued. The United States and Israel have failed in their attempts to advance their evil policies in the region and are now weaker than ever, Roknabadi stated. He also commented on Iran’s parliamentary election, which was held on March 2, saying that the high turnout helped foil the plots hatched by the enemies of the Islamic establishment. Elsewhere in his remarks, Roknabadi spoke about the relations between Tehran and Beirut and stated that the Islamic Republic is ready to supply Lebanon with electricity. On the situation in Syria, the Iranian ambassador said that the ratification of a new Constitution was a great step forward, adding that public support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad helped neutralize the conspiracies devised by the United States and the Zionist regime.
