Any Iran-US Deal Affects Middle East Developments

Tehran, March 3, IRNA – Any deal between Tehran and United States of America can affect the Middle East developments, American analyst Immanuel Wallerstein said on Sunday. He made the remarks in a meeting with Tehran University students. “Any deal between Iran and US affects Middle East developments and decreases tension among the regional countries.” Former President of the International Sociological Association Wallerstein said, ”despite the fact that tension between Iran and US is deep-rooted, there is a desire for change in relations of Tehran and Washington.” “Win-win game as the strategy of Iran in nuclear talks with G5+1 including the United States, Russia, China, France, and United Kingdom plus Germany could result in a halfway deal to satisfy all the partners.” Immanuel Wallerstein, the chair of the International Gulbenkian Commission on the Restructuring of the Social Sciences has written books in various domains of world-systems analysis including the historical development of the modern world-system and the contemporary crisis of the capitalist world-economy./end
