Any Threat By Enemies To Face Crushing Response : IRGC Commander

Tehran, Jan 17, IRNA - Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Wednesday that Iran's armed forces are completely ready to give a strong respone to any possible threats made by enemies against the country. Jafari made the remarks in a meeting with Basijis (volunteers) and IRGC forces from provincial cities of Dezful and Shoushtar in the southwestern province of Khuzestan. The IRGC commander said the armed forces were determined to protect the great valuable achievements made after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran. Referring to the critical situation faced by the world arrogant powers, the commander said they should not be allowed to transfer their crises to other parts of the world. The old-fashioned scenarios of enemies would cause no harm to the Iranian nation, but that would instead only add to the strength of the foundations of the Islamic Revolution./end
