Arab countries should solve their problems peacefully and without outside interference, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a welcome address to the heads of state and government of the Arab League countries taking part in a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. "Your meeting is taking place against the backdrop of complicated public-political and economic developments in countries of the Middle East and Northern Africa, with which Russia has always been linked by close relations of friendship and cooperation," says the document posted on the Russian president’s website.
