Araqchi Condemns Assassination Of Tunisias Brahmi

Tehran, July 27, IRNA – Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry condemned assassination of the Tunisian politician, Mohamed Brahmi, stressing that such an act is a desperate attempt to fail the Tunisian revolution. Abbas Araqchi then expressed sympathy with the Tunisian nation and government as well as the family of Brahmi over the sad event. He called on the Tunisian nation to be vigilant against such measures. Maintaining peoples vigilance, preserving national unity and eradicating terrorism are the only ways to pass through the existing critical situation in Tunisia, Araqchi reiterated. Brahmi, a member of Constituent Assembly, was assassinated by armed motorcyclists in front of his house in Tunis last Thursday. Brahmi's assassination is the second of its kind in the country this year./end
