Arming Syrian Oppositions With Chemical Weapons, Violation Of HR

Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA – Tehran's Substitute Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said arming Syrian opposition groups with chemical weapons was violation of human rights. Addressing worshippers at Tehran University, the ayatollah condemned the move noting it was against international laws and human rights treaties. Ayatollah Khatami in his second sermon, that the recent clashes in Syria were massive crimes against humanity. He stressed that recognizing Syrian opposition as an "oppositions coalition" would completely breach international human rights. The cleric said that US has interfered to the regional developments like a bullying power dictating all countries to join it in order to be safe. "The US is the number-one violator of the human rights in the whole world," said the cleric. Ayatollah Khatami said that resistance of the Syrian people would continue since they were well aware that the era of arrogance was over./end
