Colonel Winthai said “no special order was given” to soldiers to closely monitor on activities of these people who earlier announded to stage a symbolic protest by wearing red on November 1 in support of embattled former premier. Red is the colour of United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship, which supports Yingluck's Pheu Thai Party. Ms Yingluck is now facing several lawsuits, especially on her government-sponsored rice-pledging scheme which is accused of massive corruption. The government is moving to seek damages from her for losses of more than Bt500 billion suffered by the state as a result of the project. (TNA)
