Army Enjoys Best Defense Status : Official

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA – Deputy commander of Iranian Army’s Ground Forces said Saturday that the Army is now in the best defense and deterrent conditions. Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari made the remarks while talking to reporters on the sidelines of an army ceremony. The Army of the Islamic Republic possessing armaments and equipment made by Iranian experts, is well prepared to counter any threat, said Heidari. He announced that different forces of the Iranian Army are planned to display their latest capabilities and achievements on September 22 that is the start of Holy Defense Week commemorating sacrifices of the Iranian combatants during 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war./end
