Army Navy chief to visit China for military cooperation

TEHRAN, Oct. 19 (MNA) – Iran’s Army Navy commander has said reporters his visit seeks technical and logistical cooperation of Chinese armed forces. Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari talked to reporters before departing for China leading a highly expert military delegation, to detail about objectives of his visit to the East Asian country. “Preparing grounds for cooperation in military with China in holding joint drills, training and defense arrangements improvement as agreed bilaterally, and has become possible by Minister of Defense Hossein Dehqan’s visit to China before, are the main objectives of this visit,” he said. The visit, said Sayyari, “is by an invitation by Chinese naval forces commander; during the visit, a precise and thorough assessment of Chinese army capabilities in terms of training and skills, and the technologies Chinese army enjoys is expected to be made.” “The Iranian delegation consists of very highly expert members, and under the guidance by the Leader of the Islamic Republic, we will attend our mission in best manner as possible and will present the nation with a report of the visit,” Sayyari told reporters. “Chinese navy training centers will also be a destination for the delegation to visit,” he added.
