Ashton Spokesman Reports ˈGood Progressˈ In Nuclear Talks

Vienna, March 19, IRNA -- The spokesman of European Union foreignpolicy chief Catherine Ashton reported ˈgood progressˈ as the second round of nuclear talks between Iran and six western powers on a final nuclear deal kicked off in Vienna. Addressing a news conference, Michael Mann reiterated progress in the negotiations thus far had been ˈencouraging.ˈ He added that Tuesdayˈs talks focused on the ˈnitty grittyˈ of all the key issues that the various parties want to be addressed. Mann reiterated all sides were negotiating in good faith, saying he saw ˈno reason to believeˈ that they were not negotiating in good faith. Asked whether a final nuclear agreement could be sealed by the end of the six-month interim deal period on July 20, Mann made clear it was important to reach a ˈgood solid deal as quickly as possible.ˈ/end
