Atambayev will inform Putin about election in Kyrgyzstan - Kremlin spokesman

SOCHI, October 7. /TASS/. Kyrgyzstan’s President Almazbek Atambayev who will pay a working visit to Russia, will inform Russian President Vladimir Putin about the election that took place in the Central Asian republic, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday answering a TASS question. "Atambayev will in fact visit Sochi and talk to [the Russian president]," Peskov said. "He will probably congratulate Putin on his birthday," he added. "After successful election for president Atambayev and his party that took place last Sunday, he will probably inform his Russian colleague about this," the Kremlin spokesman said. The leaders will also discuss "current issues of bilateral relations," he added. One of the topics will focus on "Kyrgyzstan as a participant of integration processes in the framework of EAEU [Eurasian Economic Union]," he noted. Read more
