Austria Calls For Expansion Of Ties With Iran

Tehran, Nov 3, IRNA – Austria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Reinhold Lopatka called for the further expansion of ties between Tehran and Vienna. The Austrian official made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi in Tehran on Saturday. Lopatka described the meeting between Iranian and Austrian presidents on the sidelines of 68th Annual UN General Assembly meeting in New York as positive. The Austrian diplomat expressed the hope that Iran and Austria will do their best to expand relations during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s term of office. Takht-e Ravanchi, for his part, said that good relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries serves the interests of Tehran and Vienna. He also said that the two countries could shore up ties in political, parliamentary, economic and cultural fields.
