Austria Welcomes Constructive Talks Between Iran-G5+1: Envoy

Beirut, June 19, IRNA – Vienna welcomes constructive nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1, Austriaˈs Ambassador to Lebanon, Ursula Fahringer said on Wednesday. Talking to IRNA, he noted that a comprehensive final nuclear deal between Iran and G5+1 will have a positive impact on regional and international security. Welcoming the democratic process in Syria and holding of presidential election there, she underlined that Austria has never closed its embassy in Damascus despite the crisis in the war-torn region. Austria supports political solutions to Syria crisis, the envoy said. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his accompanying team of negotiators arrived in Vienna Monday morning to participate in the fifth round of talks between Tehran and the six major world powers in the Austrian capital from June 16-20. Iran and the world powers have said that they are resolved to start drafting a long-awaited final deal in this round of talks. In November 2013, Iran and the six world powers signed an interim nuclear deal in the Swiss city of Geneva that came into force on January 20. The deadline for attaining a final deal is July 20./end
