Ayatollah Kermani: Palestine Officially Occupied For 65 Years

Tehran, Aug 17, IRNA – Interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran said Palestine has been officially occupied for 65 years and Palestinians plagued with various types of oppression while false flag-bearers of human rights and democracy blatantly support the Zionists. Reminding everyone of the horrendous war crimes committed by the racist Zionists in Palestine’s Deir Yasin village on April 10th, 1984, he added, “The Zionist military forces invaded that village, massacred its entire 250 residents, including infants, and then began dismembering their dead corpses bodies, such a evacuating their easy, cutting off their ear lobes, and tearing off their bellies. After that they threw the dismembered bodies of their horrendous victims down into wells.” He reiterated, “The dispatched Red Crescent envoy did not dare to publish its report on the occurrence of those crimes that year and sufficed n saying that the status in that village had been horrendous!” The Deir Yassin massacre took place on April 9, 1948, when around 120 fighters from the Irgun Zevai Leumi and Lohamei Herut Israel Zionist paramilitary groups attacked Deir Yassin near Jerusalem, a Palestinian-Arab village of roughly 600 people. The assault occurred as Jewish militia sought to relieve the blockade of Jerusalem by Palestinian forces during the civil war that preceded the end of British rule in Palestine. Around 107 villagers were killed during and after the battle for the village, including women and children—some were shot, while others died when hand grenades were thrown into their homes. Several villagers were taken prisoner and may have been killed after being paraded through the streets of West Jerusalem, though accounts vary. Four of the attackers died, with around 35 injured. The killings were condemned by the leadership of the Haganah—the Jewish community's main paramilitary force—and by the areas two chief rabbis. The Jewish Agency for Israel sent Jordans King Abdullah a letter of apology, which he rebuffed. The deaths became a pivotal event in the Arab-Israeli conflict for their demographic and military consequences. The narrative was embellished and used by various parties to attack each other—by the Palestinians against Israel; by the Haganah to play down their own role in the affair; and by the Israeli Left to accuse the Irgun and Lehi of violating the Jewish principle of purity of arms, thus blackening Israels name around the world. News of the killings sparked terror within the Palestinian community, encouraging them to flee from their towns and villages in the face of Jewish troop advances, and it strengthened the resolve of Arab governments to intervene, which they did five weeks later. Ayatollah Movahhedi-Kermani also reminded everyone of a similar criminal act, another horrendous war crime by the racist Zionists in Nasereddin Village, saying, “It is a shame that these butchers of the Palestinians are invited to sit at compromise table (so-called peace talks) with the Palestinians.” The Tehran Friday preacher this week emphasized, “The Palestinians are awake and reject the negotiations that are being held in their name. The people know that compromising means coming to terms with the thieves and the murderers, accepting their legitimacy and warding them meals of honor!” He said that the Palestinians cannot be cheated any longer and they do not concern as their representative those who sit at negotiations tables behind closed doors on the behalf of the Palestinian nation. Ayatollah Movahhedi-Kermani said that the Palestinian movement is a pure movement derived from the essence of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, adding, “The Palestinians take model of this revolution and tolerate all types of pressure, resorting to (Imam Hussain’s – P) logic of we will never yield to living wretched lives.” Focusing on the Zionists’ other war crime in setting ablaze the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, he said, “August 21st marks the anniversary of the Zionists’ arson of Al-Aqsa Mosqe on August 21st, saying, “This day is marked as the ‘Mosque Day’ in our calendar. On August 21, 1969, the former Qibla of Islam, the al-Aqsa Mosque in Bayt al-Moqaddas was set ablaze by the Zionists, who badly damaged this most sacred and historical Islamic site. The Zionist regime attributed the arson attack to an Australian tourist and detained him, but a court in Tel Aviv released the attacker on the pretext that he was deranged. Meanwhile, Muslims all over the world staged huge demonstrations against the usurper Israeli regime, and a year later, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OICE) was set up to counter the threats posed against Islamic sanctity. The interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran elsewhere in his sermons condemned the Thursday deadly Beirut terrorist bomb blast, saying, “That explosion filled the hearts with sorrow and added to the grievances.” Ayatollah Movahhedi-Kermani ended his sermon remembering the destroying of Medina’s historical Baqi’a Cemetery, whose anniversary is also near, saying, “On these days the holy mausoleums of the sacred imams buried in Baqi’a were destroyed by the criminal Wahhabi gang, which was a great catastrophe for the Islamic world and a great mourning for the Shi’a Muslims.” He said, “These miserable figures had assumed that resorting to such moves they could put off the light of the Infallible Household of the Holy Prophet (P), unaware of the fact that the glorious shrines of the Prophet’s Household are in the hearts of the people who love them.” 8th day of the lunar month of Shawwal (Aug 16 this year), is the anniversary of the sacrilegious act of destroying the Holy Shrines in Jannat al-Baqi Cemetery. On 8th Shawwal, Wednesday, in the year 1345 AH (April 21, 1925), mausoleums in Jannatul al-Baqi (Madinah), the famous burial place of great personalities without whom the history of Islam is incomplete, were demolished by the Wahabbi King Abdul Aziz ibn Saud. In the same year (1925), he also demolished the tombs of holy personages at Jannat al-Mualla (Makkah) where the Holy Prophets (P) mother, wife, grandfather and other ancestors are buried. Destruction of sacred sites in holy land of Hijaz by the Wahabbi Saudi government continues even today. Destruction of sacred sites in Hijaz is actually a conspiracy plotted by the Zionist Jews and the western imperialism against Islam, under the guise of the forged Takfiri version of Islam. The idea is to eradicate the Islamic legacy and heritage and to systematically remove all its vestiges so that in the days to come, Muslims will have no affiliation with their religious history./end
