Azerbaijan, Austria to cooperate in the field of real estate cadastre and geographic information system

Vienna, July 7, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s State Committee on Property Issues and Austria`s Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of real estate cadastre and geographic information system. Hailing the importance of the memorandum, chairman of the State Committee on Property Issues Karam Hasanov noted that the document will make significant contributions to the training of highly qualified personnel, experience and information exchange, as well as the establishment of a geogeographic information system and national spatial data infrastructure in Azerbaijan. Head of the Austrian Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying Wernher Hoffmann noted that the main purpose of the memorandum is to exchange regular experience between the sides. “I think that Austria will benefit from this exchange in the years to come,” he said.
