Azerbaijan, Indonesia discuss ways of developing interparliamentary relations

Baku, July 4, AZERTAC Chairman of Legal Policy and State Building Committee of Azerbaijan`s Milli Majlis Ali Huseynli has met with a delegation of the People`s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia to discuss the ways of enhancing the interparliamentary relations. Huseynli said that despite geographical location, the people of Azerbaijan and Indonesia are bound together by common traditions and religion. He underlined that over the past years Indonesia has been rapidly developing from the economic point of view. “Indonesia closely cooperates with Azerbaijan in the fields of politics, economy and culture. Such visits are of great importance in terms of development of these relations and interparliamentary ties to a greater extent,” Huseynli noted. Head of the Indonesian delegation Zainut Tauhid Saadi hailed the bilateral relations in a number of areas and stressed the significance of the interparliamentary ties and cooperation in the field of tourism. Huseynli also informed the Indonesian delegation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
