Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss prospects for developing cooperation

Almaty, May 18, AZERTAC The Azerbaijani President’s Assistant on Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov has met with the governor of the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Baibek. They hailed the huge potential for developing bilateral relations in a number of areas, including in political, economic and humanitarian ones. The Presidential Assistant noted that by making significant strides during the years of independence, Kazakhstan has become one of the leading countries in the region. He described Kazakhstan as one of the countries which Azerbaijan has stable political diplomatic relations with. “The advantages of creating favorable conditions for the expansion of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, as well as far-sighted policy have led to the implementation of a number of projects that contributed to the development of the region,” Ali Hasanov said. Governor of the city of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek pointed to the various areas of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan cooperation in bilateral and multilateral format, describing the bilateral relations between the two countries as strategic. The strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in a variety of areas was emphasized, the current state of and prospects for developing bilateral relations were discussed during the conversation. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan Rashad Mammadov also attended the meeting.
